The PD-PRW26D is a ceiling-mount motion sensor that combines microwave and infrared sensing technologies within one unit.
Single-type motion sensors can fail to register movement depending on people’s direction of travel. Infrared sensors perform better for lateral, tangential movement, while microwave sensors built on the Doppler principle respond more reliably to head-on movement. By combining both sensing methods, the PD-PRW26D achieves wider-angle monitoring and reduces missed detection events for indoor lighting control.
Technical Overview
· Input: 220-240V AC, 50Hz
· Load capacity: max. 800W for tungsten lamps; max.150W for LED and fluorescent lights
· Mounting: ceiling installation at 2.5-3 m height, 360° detection angle
· Detection range: 1.5-3.5 m (infrared), 1.5-4.5 m (microwave)
· Adjustable parameters
· Light threshold: 10LUX-2000LUX for day-night discrimination
· Hold-on delay: 8±2 seconds to 8±2 minutes; timer resets with new movement
· Operating environment: -10°C to +40°C, relative humidity below 95% RH
Three physical knobs provide on-site adjustment for light trigger level, delay period and detection sensitivity. The sensor is designed for flush ceiling fitting in corridors, offices and warehouse interiors. Lights remain activated as long as movement is picked up within coverage.
