The difference between a heat detector and a smoke detector

Operating principle
Smoke detectors work by measuring the balance of positive and negative charges in the air. Inside the sensor, there is a small piece of radioactive material that creates a tiny electric current in the air flowing in the sensor chamber. On the circuit board, a computer chip monitors this current. When smoke particles enter the chamber, they disturb the balance of positive and negative charges there, and change the current. When the smoke gradually aggravates, the imbalance of positive and negative charges will be strengthened, and an electrical signal will be transmitted to the fire host to realize the purpose of alarm.
Temperature detectors is to detect fire by using heat sensitive elements. In the initial stage of fire, on the one hand, a large amount of smoke is generated, on the other hand, substances release a large amount of heat in the process of combustion, and the ambient temperature rises sharply. The thermal sensitive element in the detector changes physically, so that the temperature signal is converted into electrical signal and transmitted to the fire main engine to realize the purpose of alarm.
Use different
The difference in use mainly exists in the smoke as long as the smoke, dust, water and other tests, and the temperature is mainly 67 degrees to 91 degrees detection alarm.
Under normal circumstances, the use of smoke sense is more extensive than temperature sense. However, in some special areas, it is necessary to use a combination of temperature sensing or smoke sensing.
When the use of smoke will often lead to false alarms: such as smoking room (smoke), cooking room (steam or lampblack), a lot of dust work place (dust), etc.
Therefore, in these places, we are generally more inclined to choose warm feeling, to avoid the occurrence of frequent false alarms.
Sometimes the joint use of smoke and temperature sense is also needed, such as fire shutter, smoke alarm, fire shutter down to 1.8 meters, for people to escape, if the temperature alarm, indicating that the fire has been large, the temperature of this space has risen, fire shutter will fall to the ground, prevent the spread of the fire.
